| New shirt to hit the shops |

| GLOUCESTER Rugby have wound back the clock to launch their latest range of official merchandise by releasing a retro hooped shirt. |
The Guinness Premiership leaders are delighted to officially launch the new shirt that not only reflects Gloucester’s old playing kit and the founding date of the club – 1873 – underneath the new crest but also has a modern feel.
The 100% heavy weight cotton garment is available for pre order now for delivery week commencing 31st March. This is exclusively available online at www.gloucesterrugby.co.uk or from the club shop at Kingsholm.
Speaking of the decision to launch the shirt, Gloucester’s head of sales and marketing Pete Grzonka said: “This is a project we have wanted to launch for some time and we are thrilled it is now up and running.
“I think there is sometimes a perception we do not do enough to safeguard hugely important areas of the club’s history and although we have to move forward within the modern game and everything that involves, we believe this hooped shirt is a fitting tribute to heroes and eras of the past that play a huge part in our history.
“It is a great mix between the traditional and the modern – we are working hard to retain elements of the past that are important and this shirt does that.
“There has been a consistent demand for this type of shirt and now we have provided one we hope it will be a tremendous success. There have been many developments over the past 12 months and this is another one we are very excited about.
The garment is 100% heavy weight cotton with double stitched seams and rubber buttons. It is the official licensed product of Gloucester Rugby. The retro hooped leisure shirt is available in men’s, ladies, children’s and infants and is available for pre order now.
Gloucester’s kit is produced by Rugbytech and Steve Lee, UK sales manager, added: “We look to raise the bar on quality, originality and style and this design contains key elements of the past but also the future.
“This classic hooped shirt has been designed with the history and heritage of Gloucester Rugby in mind but with a modern twist and we believe it will be a great success.”
