Wooden Spoon is a rugby based charity that exists to enhance the quality and prospect of life for disadvantaged children and young people. The charity harnesses the support of the rugby world to add value to its projects and uses the spirit and values of the game as a tool to help children and young people.
The touch rugby tournament will take place at Plock Court, Gloucester, throughout the morning before the Premiership game against Saracens. The tournament is limited to 16 teams (Squads of 10) and teams can be mixed (i.e. male and female squads or signal sex) and is open to players aged 16 an over. Team entry is £300, which will include a match day ticket for all participants in the new south stand at Kingsholm and the chance to take to the pitch at the half time break for the trophy presentation.
The games will be 15 minutes one way to allow people to ease themselves back into the touch format for the summer leagues! We promise a fun and enjoyable tournament, so why not get together with a few mates and enter a team.
To enter your team simply register your interest by emailing the Community Department at cdp@gloucesterrugby.co.uk or for further information please call 01452 872286.
