The 1873 Suite at Kingsholm was the venue on Wednesday evening for the club's annual End of Season Awards dinner, where Rob Cook was named Player of the Season and Elliott Stooke the Young Player of the Season.
The evening was superbly MC'd, as last year, by Jill Douglas with the after dinner speech delivered by Rick O'Shea of Scrum V fame.
The first award of the evening was the Community Champion which was presented by John Search of JS Security who sponsored the award. John came up with the idea of the Community Champion Award as he wanted to recognise people in our community that give a bit back, do that bit extra, shining stars in the community we live and work in.
The winner was Brendan Conby. Brendan is the Chief Executive of The Door Youth Project, a charity that provides a vital lifeline to many young people and their families.
Not only does he run the charity, he is the founder of it, which was established in 1991, over 20 years ago! He has led the organisation from strength to strength and it is now working with over 1,000 young people a year! Changing the lives of each and every one.
Next up was The Community Player of the Year Award which is given to the player who has gone above and beyond the call of duty and given much of his time to supporting community projects this season.
Dan Murphy was the winner and received his award from Julie Worrall from Capita.
Jonny May won the Try of the Season award sponsored by Weston's Cider for his fantastic effort in the final game of the season at Worcester Warriors. Jonny was presented with his award by Helen Thomas and Roger Jackson of Weston's Cider.
Norma Tang from Renishaw presented Elliott Stooke with his Young Player of the Season award, the voting carried out by members of staff at Renishaw.
Meanwhile Paul Doubler and Paula Jones from Molson Coors presented the Worthington's sponsored Player of the Year award to Rob Cook.
