With the chance to play the final in Gloucester's home ground Kingsholm Stadium, in front of a large crowd, a £500 pound prize (£250 for the runner ups) and the chance to lift the EDF Cup up for grabs, there is a lot to play for.
After being drawn 1st round byes, October may have been a quiet month in rugby terms for six of this year's entrants, but November will be quite the opposite.
Having shown their intent with a very strong first round, teams such as Archway, Chosen Hill, KLB, Winchombe, and Balcarras, put first round opponents to the sword, with Winchombe and Balcarras posting final scores in excess of 50 points in their victories over round 1 opponents.
Round two sees seven fixtures taking place around Gloucestershire, and commences on Monday the 26th November, running over the course of 8 weeks, finishing on Friday 18th of January, after which the Quarter final stage takes place.
Congratulations to all the teams who have qualified for the next round and best of luck in next stage of the competition.
Hard luck to the other teams, who did not qualify for next round, and we look forward to seeing you in next year's EDF Energy Schools Rugby Cup.
The EDF Energy Schools Rugby Cup final takes place on Tuesday 12th of March 2013 at Kingsholm Stadium.
