Gloucester Rugby resume their Aviva Premiership campaign at home to Exeter Chiefs on Friday evening, and Director of Rugby David Humphreys is expecting upbeat opposition.
Mini Maulers is designed to develop a child's fundamental motor skills; coordination, balance, spatial awareness; knowledge of colours, number and shapes, and introductory rugby skills; passing, catching and kicking. Mini Maulers also acts as a promotion for healthy living.
Mini Maulers is a weekly play sessions for children aged 3 - 7 years. (Children are divided into separate age groups). Courses are held at different venues, on different days of the week at various times during the year. Courses are generally run over a six week period, sessions being 45 minutes long, dependent on the age group.
Parents are encouraged to enjoy and take part in the sessions with their children. Alternatively, they can let our professional staff take control, whilst they sit back and enjoy a cup of coffee and chat with the other parents while the sessions are taking place.
To guarantee a space we encourage children to be booked up for the full six week programme although children may attend on a 'drop in' basis, if places are available.
The next step for your child might be mini and junior rugby, or they may choose to a new sporting activity. Regardless of the choices they make Mini Maulers aims to provide the foundations upon which to build physical, mental and social skills and the ability to progress with confidence.
