The club is hoping to continue to strengthen the Live at Kingsholm brand by hosting two concerts on successive nights, and by attracting two quality music acts who will perform live at Kingsholm Stadium.
McFly, who celebrate their tenth anniversary this year, who have sold more than ten million records worldwide and who have a new album out this summer, will perform on the hallowed turf of Kingsholm on the evening of June 13th.
The band members are Tom Fletcher (lead vocals, guitar and piano), Danny Jones (lead vocals and guitar), Dougie Poynter (backing vocals and bass guitar) and Harry Judd (drums).
Harry, who was the winner of Strictly Come Dancing two years ago, has said that the band love playing open air concerts because of the great atmosphere. And Kingsholm certainly ticks that box, on both rugby and music occasions.
Singer and songwriter Ronan Keating, who first came to prominence as a member of Boyzone, will perform the following evening of June 14th.
The Irish singer, who has also duetted with the likes of LeAnn Rimes and LuLu, has sold an impressive 10 million copies of his 11 solo albums and has performed in fifty countries.
Ronan, who has recently launched his new solo album titled 'Fires' which he recorded in London and Dublin, is energised and buzzed about getting back on the airwaves with what he describes as making the best record possible.
Gloucester Rugby's CEO, Stephen Vaughan spoke of his delight at confirming McFly and Ronan Keating in what will be two evenings of fantastic live music at Kingsholm Stadium:
"We are really pleased to be building on the success of the two previous live concerts we've have held at the stadium. The Wanted and Tom Jones were both amazing events, Kingsholm has proved itself to be a terrific live music venue.
"This year, we have taken the decision to host two music concerts, one after the other, and we are delighted to have attracted two quality acts who will perform Live at Kinghsolm.
"We think that, with McFly and Ronan Keating, we have secured two acts who will appeal to a broad cross section of music fans and hope to see Kingsholm rocking as it has in the past."
Tickets for both concerts will go on sale at 9.00am on Thursday, 28th March 2013, with tickets priced at the following:
