I lived in Longford for a while and it's pretty quiet, except for the traffic, but you have to travel about a mile for the nearest amenities such as shops etc.
The BIG plus is that it's only just up the road from the greatest club rugby venue on the planet (ahh the warm glow from the distant floodlights of Kingsholm!)
The down side is my in laws live in Longford! (only joking)

Tescos is okay if you're driving, but you'll have to take your life in your hands trying to walk there from Longford.
Anyway, I meant there isn't really a local shop like some villages (used to) have.

what is the problem, there is everything that you need in Longford a Pub, the Queens Head.

Where I live there no shops for over 2 miles and at least there is pubs in the village and another pub not too far away.

Longford is one of Gloucester's nicest parts really. It's quite remote, just outside the city borders. It's much more community-orientated than other parts too. Plus it's owned by Tewkesbury Borough Council so there's loads of rubbish and recycling points around. Although shopping is a small way away, Tesco's is only a mile or so and Kingsholm's in walking distance :D

"Kingsholm's in walking distance"
