An independent disciplinary hearing today found that Mariano Galarza was selected for the Aviva Premiership match against Sale Sharks on March 29th, when he did not hold effective registration for Gloucester Rugby. The club was fined £5000 and received a two point deduction, suspended for two years.
Gloucester Rugby return to Aviva Premiership action against the Newcastle Falcons on Saturday (Kingsholm, kick off 3pm), and make several changes to the side that defeated Exeter Chiefs at home last weekend.
Recent meetings between these two teams have often been thrillers, and this was no exception. It went down to the final few minutes, but Gloucester produced the goods when it mattered to qualify for the European Rugby Challenge Cup Final, beating Exeter 30-19.
