Gloucester Rugby Media Manager, Duncan Wood, today explained the thinking behind the new site.
"We launched our new look desktop site 12 months ago and received really positive feedback.
"However, although the site works well on tablets and mobile devices, it wasn't purposefully designed for use on smart phones. We were also aware that more and more people are accessing the Gloucester Rugby website from a mobile device.
"As a result, in partnership with our Website Provider, Sotic, we've built and rolled out a version of the site designed specifically for mobile devices to provide a much improved customer experience.
"The vast majority of the content on our main website is still available, but it has now been reconfigured to download on any mobile device.
"We're very pleased with the results, and hope that our supporters like the new site.
"We're also very grateful to our new Communications Partner, Total Ltd, who have helped to make this possible."
Total's Managing Director Stuart Baikie added:
"I'm delighted that Total Ltd has become the official Communications Partner of Gloucester Rugby Club.
"With such a rich and longstanding heritage, we are all looking forward to the new season, working with the club and sharing in their success and initiatives both on the pitch and within the community."
See the new mobile site now on your Smartphone by logging on to www.gloucesterrugby.co.uk and you'll be directed to the new mobile site.
