Savage tore a pectoral muscle against Leicester Tigers on November 29th and only returned in the 38-30 win over the Exiles last weekend.
It's been a long road back to fitness for the 25 year old and his return is a welcome boost according to Davies.
"It's great to have Tom back. There were obvious reasons why we made him the captain - he's got great energy and great enthusiasm and has been itching to get back. To have him back around the group is a big bonus.
"He's there and thereabouts definitely. Its early days and players do take one or two games to get back into the full swing of things and we don't have much time left but he's under consideration for Saturday at Worcester.
"It's a big derby game and Tom is the sort of character that you want in and around the squad on occasions like this.
"I think the fact that he had a run out last weekend will actually help him. No mater how much training you do, it's never the same as the actual game.
"I know that he was sore for the couple of days after the game, but he'll acclimatise to that and it's great to have him back."
