The evenings consisted of strength and conditioning assessments, decision-making games, skills activities and full contact games. All are designed to allow every player the opportunity to showcase their ability in front of the coaching team and selectors.

Players within the programme, as well as those in the North of the County that are not currently included in the programme, are continuously monitored by the academy staff throughout the season, and may be given individual "work on" targets to complete with their school/club. As players develop at different rates, players can be invited into or exited from the programme.
