Overnight temperatures are set to drop significantly over the next couple of nights, however, so the club has called upon the services of Sports and Stadia Services Ltd to protect the pitch ahead of the Saints clash.
The covers, which are heated by hot air blowers, were last seen in action at Kingsholm ahead of the Amlin Challenge Cup fixture against La Rochelle last season and have been in use at Sale Sharks and Worcester Warriors in recent weeks.
