"I'm delighted to be supporting such a good cause and I am really looking forward to meeting all the lads on the day," said Peter.
"If you haven't signed up yet then I suggest you get your mates together and raise money for Cotswold Care Hospice. As a Gloucestershire lad I know all about the good work they do for people living in our county."
So far more than 300 men have signed up to take part in the sponsored walk. They can choose between a five-mile and a 10-mile course then return to enjoy a pie and a pint and watch the live Gloucester vs Harlequin match.
"By raising just £100 in sponsorship you will help pay for four hours of care by one of the charity's hospice at home nurses. It will be great having all you chaps cheering us on when we tackle Harlequins - it will be a real inspiration to us," said Peter.
It costs £25 to register for the walk which includes your pie, pint and ticket to the match. To make the walk a truly family event, boys under the age of 12 can take part at a special Junior registration rate of £10. They must be accompanied by an adult.
