Participants were coached using the 'Game Sense' technique whereby the coaching is led through the use of games. This process enables youngsters to learn more about the game without getting bored doing traditional drill sessions. The player centred approach is also used to ensure that the players gain as much from their experience as possible.
Gloucester Rugby stars, Mark Foster, James Forrester, Leon Lloyd, Mike Tindall and Olly Morgan were all on hand to pass on their top tips to the participants and led coaching sessions. All of the participants had a great time, the benefit of having the Premiership players around is great and really helps the young players to focus.
The next Premiership Rugby Academy Camps will be running during the Easter half-term at venues across the County. Please check http://www.gloucesterrugby.co.uk/ for further details or for more information please call the Community Department on 01452 872286.
