This years lucky tournament winners were: St James (Cheltenham), Moat (Gloucester), Woodside (Forest), Foxmoor (Stroud) and the final tournament was won by Hempsted (Gloucester).
Community Coach Richard Knight said, "thanks to all the schools that took part in the programme, for there hard work and determination. The future of rugby in the county looks bright. The standard of some of the boys and girls coming through is of a high standard".
Tag rugby is a wonderful game to use as a tool to introduce youngsters to the game of rugby in a safe and controlled enviroment, where there is no contact. To see the children develope through the programme is marvelous. The game draws the best out of everyone involved and the kids absolutely love it.
The programme will run again in the coming season. We can also taylor packages to schools needs and conduct other programmes such as Tag to Tackle.
