"We receive many hundreds of requests each season and although we would like to we cannot accommodate everyone. Where possible we offer signed merchandise and match tickets to help fundraising."
"However, each season the club works specifically with a number of chosen charities. In recent seasons we have supported Breast Cancer Care, British Heart Foundation, Help for Heroes, NSPCC and many others.
This season we are pleased to announce we will be supporting the Royal British Legion in their 90th year, Wooden Spoon and Pied Piper.
The Royal British Legion safeguards the welfare, interests and memory of those who are serving or who have served in the Armed Forces. They provide financial, social and emotional support to millions of people.
The Legion was founded in 1921 as a voice for the ex-Service community and over 380,000 members continue to ensure that this voice does not go unheard. Although the needs of ex-Service people have changed over the years, they are still there to safeguard their welfare, interests and memory.
Probably best known for their role as the nation's custodian of Remembrance and for the Poppy Appeal which they organise annually.
Chris Aplin, Community Fundraiser British Legion, Gloucestershire said:
"We were absolutely delighted to be named as one of Gloucester Rugby's charities and have made a start on the plans for the 13th November, where we will be organising a ground collection and other activities prior to Gloucester's match against Saracens."
Pied Piper, who aims to improve the lives of sick children in Gloucestershire, will continue their association with the Club. Initially created to fund a new children's hospital for the county, the Appeal now reaches out to help sick children from across Gloucestershire in many different ways.
Mr Roger Head, Chairman of The Pied Piper Appeal:
"The Pied Piper Appeal is delighted to continue to be a charity partner with Gloucester Rugby, as this partnership has benefited both parties for many years. We appreciate that we have again been chosen as a charity partner and wish the Club great success for this forthcoming season."
Wooden Spoon who support a number of the clubs community initiatives will also continue their association with the club. Wooden Spoon exists to enhance the quality and prospect of life for children and young people who are disadvantaged physically, mentally or socially.
It harnesses the support of the rugby world to add value to its projects and uses the spirit and values of the game as a tool to help children and young people.
