The course was run in conjunction with the Rifles and was both intense and rewarding for all of those that took part. Participants took part in a number rugby sessions each day along with army activities such as team building and command tasks.
Next on the list was the Summer Activity week which saw participants taking part in a range of sports from rugby through to raft building.
It was a fantastic week which was thoroughly enjoyed by all and ended with a multi sport competition at Kingsholm. The participants were also given a stadium tour and a behind the scenes look at the changing rooms and the hospitality areas.
Paul Rudland, Gloucester Rugby's Community Development Officer said:
"The summer camps this year have been a great success, the kids have really enjoyed themselves and hopefully they are ready and raring to go for the new season."
"The residential was brilliant as we had great support from Gatorade who provided hydration testing for the players which is something we have never really done before."
"The Multi Activity week was a slightly different camp for us as it featured additional sports such as Football, Cricket, raft building and much more. It was a really great week which all of the players bought into. They seemed to have great fun."
"I would like to pass on my thanks to JDR Karting, The Warehouse and Water Sports UK who looked after the kids fantastically."
