"I was very happy. We controlled the field position and there were only two poor kicks in the first half. But, overall, we controlled it and created pressure and took our opportunities. That was the key thing in the first half."
"In the second half, we just didn't kick on and the game became a little bit messy at 27-3. But I'm not going to take anything away from players who I thought were great today."
The questioning then moved onto the subject of Heineken Cup qualification and Gloucester's chances.
"Well, we've still got to go to Worcester in two weeks to make seventh place a realistic possibility. We have to win our two games and then rely on somebody else."
"We were disappointed with the results recently which have taken the chance of sixth away - both Northampton away and Wasps away."
"That was our lifeline to getting that sixth spot. Losing those two has been the killer."
"But we've got to go to Worcester now and prove that we're a side that should be in the top six. But it's a tough place to go to and win and we haven't done that in three years."
