Immediately following the Rovigo game last Saturday, the England international explained that it's been a focus for Gloucester this season.
"We've been working quite hard on managing referees and adapting quickly to their style at the breakdown."
"If we can compete legally and get the turnover then we've got the pace out wide to make the most of it."
"One of the things we've been trying to do is attack the space and not necessarily the ball and that's been working fairly well for us recently and we've not been conceding too many penalties."
Head Coach Redpath went on to pay tribute to the form of Hazell and fellow openside Akapusi Qera.
"Hazey was very efficient and he has been all season in what he does. He's taken on that role in the contact area and how you buy into it."
"We got massive rewards against Bath and last weekend (against Agen) we were let down in that area because we weren't looking for possession."
"Hazey's playing pretty well at the moment but Q (Akapusi Qera) played pretty well last Friday as well which is a good dilemma to have."
