He has already made 21 appearances so far this season confirming his status as an integral part of the first team.
Lawson, who put in a typically courageous performance against Harlequins on Saturday when he returned to the fray after suffering a blood injury, told the club website that he was delighted to become the latest Gloucester Rugby player to commit to the cause.
"I'm very, very happy that we've got everything sorted. I've loved my time at Gloucester so far. It's a great club and I really feel as though we're going places at the moment."
"From a personal point of view, I feel as though my game has developed during my time at the club and, of course, working with someone like Bryan is a huge plus for a scrum half."
"We've a big couple of months ahead of us and lots to play for. I'm really looking forward to it."
