Tins put in his usual solid performance in the midfield as England turned in a performance which had their critics choking on their words after last weekend's 27-17 defeat.
Meanwhile, three of Tindall's Gloucester team mates - Luke Narraway, James Simpson-Daniel and Nick Wood - all started for the Saxons in the Churchill Cup Final against Canada.
Narraway and Wood were part of a Saxons pack that dominated from start to finish against a spirited Canada side that refused to buckle even after going 17-0 down in the early stages.

However, the superior strength and conditioning of the Saxons side eventually told and a 38-18 win was the eventual result with Narraway, who scored one of the Saxons four tries, a deserved Man of the Match.
Narraway told rfu.com after the game:
"This is my third Churchill Cup and my first final win. Last year against Ireland A we had a similar talented squad but something obviously didn't work. Full credit to the lads, they have worked hard and we played some exciting football and it was great to be a part of it.
"We took the foot off the pedal but all credit to Canada they are a real good side. They came back at us but we had enough talent and energy in the tank to win the game."
Six members of the England team that beat Australia have been included in the squad to play the New Zealand Maori in Napier on Wednesday.
Try-scorers Ben Youngs and Chris Ashton will both remain on tour along with lock Courtney Lawes plus props Tim Payne and Dan Cole.
There are concerns over the fitness of Olly Barkley, why has injured a hamstring, but England have plenty of cover in the form of Brad Barritt, Dominic Waldouck and even Shane Geraghty.
England manager Martin Johnson will name the team on Tuesday, when the team captain is also set to be announced.
