Burns started on the bench for the rematch in Rosario but made a decisive contribution when he replaced Rory Clegg.
He scored two late tries to help secure the win and was understandably happy afterwards but quick to praise his team mates.
"That was a tough game. We probably made hard work of it but it turned in to quite a comfortable win in the end."
"Personally it was a really good game for me, coming off the bench but most of the credit has got to go to the boys, they worked hard in the first half and it just happened that I came on when Ireland were tired and things just opened up for me."
"I've got rid of a few demons today. It's ironic that it's come against Ireland. The game at Kingsholm was probably the low point of my season, so it's good to get a bit of payback."
"We definitely weren't going out for revenge. The Kingsholm game hurt for sure but this is a completely different competition. We've got two wins from two games now but the game against France is the big focus now."
"You've got to create your own buzz and control the environment you're playing in. On Saturday Argentina brought the buzz with a massive crowd so we had to generate something ourselves today."
"We still have things to work on - we're half way across the world in a hostile environment. Nobody likes the English but we'll take the win and the 36 points against a really good Irish team."
