Whilst these activities were taking place a collection was held which raised a fantastic £6566. Major Kevin Haigh, form ARRC who with his troops organised the collection said:
"The soldiers really enjoyed both events and it was great to be working with our local Premiership Rugby Team and to help the Royal British Legion with the fundraising."
Lt Col Simon Butt, Commanding Officer ARRC added:
"It was a wonderful opportunity for us to collect and show a presence in the local community for such a worthwhile cause which has benefitted the soldiers within my battalion and will continue to do so in the future."

Col Tim Merritt, County Manager, TRBL, Gloucester said:
"The support the Legion has received from both the ARRC Support Battalion and through them the British Public has been quite outstanding this year."
"Of course the fantastic sums raised could not have been achieved without the very positive support and encouragement from Gloucester Rugby Chairman Tom Walkinshaw, together with all their staff. To all those involved I say a very big thank you."
