The pitch is already marked out and has been covered since last weekend. The inflatable dome and heaters from Sports and Stadia Services have been in place since Thursday.
The pitch will remain covered until as late as possible on Sunday afternoon given the unusually late kick off time of 5:45pm which, given the time of year, means that temperatures will be at their coldest come game time.
At present, we do not foresee the need for a pitch inspection.
In the meantime, a team of Gloucester Rugby staff and volunteers from local rugby clubs etc are already at work at the stadium on Saturday morning.
They are clearing what snow has already fallen and areas such as the car parks and pedestrian walkways are being rock salted to prevent them freezing again.
This team will also be ready to move into action again on Sunday in case of further snowfall.
Huge thanks are due to everyone who has given up their time this weekend to help out at the stadium.
If any further updates need to be issued, they will be done here on the club website and via our friends at BBC Radio Gloucestershire.
Please do not ring the stadium for updates as everyone on duty is outside and hard at work!
