Gloucester need to win to confirm their place in the play-offs and head coach Dean Ryan has once again remained faithful to the side that has featured since the European Challenge Cup quarter-final against Brive in April.
And Ryan his backing his youngsters not to get stage fright against the reigning Premiership champions.
"The one thing we can guarantee with this group is that it won't freeze," Ryan said. "The key question is whether we are far enough up our learning curve to win the game.
"They bring a lot of enthusiasm and they don't hold a huge amount of fear that causes errors - I am very excited about seeing them in action this weekend."
Gloucester's backline will be unchanged for the fifth successive match, which means youngsters Ryan Lamb, Olly Morgan and Anthony Allen retain their places alongside Peter Richards, Mike Tindall, James Simpson-Daniel and Mark Foster.
Buxton's return represents the only change after he was rested for Gloucester's trip to Leeds last weekend but Ryan believes nothing should be read into Wasps' defeat against London Irish last weekend.
Jack Forster retains his place at tighthead prop in place of the injured Gary Powell and Jonathan Pendlebury starts at lock alongside Alex Brown.
"I very much doubt this weekend will replicate anything from Wasps' defeat to London Irish, both from their approach to the game and from our own," Ryan added. "It was a unique game and it will stay as such.
"We know what we're trying to do and that will be what we try to impose on the game against Wasps.
"We know they will be physical very powerful and are perhaps the best team in the country at knockout rugby. But I am thoroughly looking forward to the challenge."
