The Army have kindly supported the camps as a fantastic motivator for youngsters. They will be providing team building exercises as well as confidence and discipline sessions which are all key factors in the modern day sport of rugby union.
The Army will also be providing a fun element by using assault courses, paintball and much, much more. However there is a serious point to the Army's involvement as all key elements of Army life can be associated with a rugby player.
There are many ways in which youngsters can now join the Army and playing rugby is just an example. The courses will now be able to provide a far greater experience.
Sgt Rich Knight said: "This a great opportunity for the Army to interact with young players from Gloucestershire. Playing sport brings out qualities essential to being an effective soldier like determination, courage, fitness, team spirit and leadership. That's why, unlike other employers, the Army puts great emphasis on sports and gives it's soldiers and officers time in their busy schedule to play the sports they love."
