Ryan Lamb, Anthony Allen and Olly Morgan have been named in Senior National Academy, Jack Forster and Ross McMillan in the Intermediate National Academy and Rob Thirlby in the core sevens squad,
The 55-strong squad - 40 England Senior players and 15 from the Senior National Academy - includes World Cup winner Jonny Wilkinson MBE and Andy Farrell OBE, who missed last season because of injury following his transfer from Wigan Warriors to Saracens.
Robinson said: "I am very excited about this new Elite Player Squad which faces a challenging year ahead leading into the 2007 Rugby World Cup.
"These players will form the nucleus of selection for the Investec Challenge series in the autumn and the RBS 6 Nations and they should be congratulated on being included. However, as is always the case, exclusion from these squads does not mean that the selection door to England is closed.
"I would like to welcome back Jonny Wilkinson. Everyone hopes that he has put his injuries behind him and is able to play regularly for Newcastle Falcons. I am also looking forward to working with Andy Farrell who was in last season's EPS squad but suffered a succession of injuries."
The Senior National Academy includes seven of England's Grand Slam winning Under 21s squad from last season, as well as Leicester Tigers and England Sevens winger Tom Varndell.
Robinson added, "I am delighted to welcome some of the successful England Under 21s players to the Senior National Academy, and look forward to seeing the likes of Ryan Lamb and Jordan Crane first hand at training. Tom Varndell had some great moments on the senior tour and I'm sure he will benefit from being part of the Senior National Academy."
Conor O'Shea, RFU National Academy Director, said, "Jim Mallinder and the rest of the National Academy coaches are all really excited about working with the young talent coming through the National Academy programme, which is run in partnership with the Guinness Premiership clubs. I am confident that there will be a number of players pushing for a place in the senior EPS and Rugby World Cup squad over the next 12 months. We will also be keeping a close eye on those players who came very close to being selected when the revised squads are named on 1st January."
