The Kingsholm club teamed up with Hartpury College, and sponsors Powergen to host the school TAG rugby festival at Hucclecote.
Nine local primary schools, providing ten teams, battled it out in a two-pool format with the winners of each pool then playing each other in a well contested final.
Barnwood Primary School came out as winners after a win over Tuffley Primary School in the final.
Both schools will be invited to Kingsholm to play in a further TAG festival, along with two more festival winners, to decide which school will represent Gloucester Rugby Club at the Powergen Cup final at Twickenham in April.
At the end of the festival all players received a medal from Gloucester star Jon Goodridge.
This festival was the culmination of four weeks of TAG rugby coaching at each school, delivered by students on the rugby studies course at Hartpury College.
In addition to the coaching and the festival, the schools also received Powergen-sponsored balls and tag belts to continue their development of TAG rugby.
As part of the Powergen National Rugby Community Programme, Gloucester Rugby Club and Hartpury College will work with 24 primary schools around the county throughout this season, as well as assisting 12 local junior rugby clubs at training sessions.
There is also a coach's development element to the programme, that has included sessions run by Gloucester Rugby Club coaching staff at Kingsholm this season that are regularly attended by more than a hundred local coaches.
