Simpson-Daniel damaged his ankle against Calvisano during pre-season and has undergone intensive physiotherapy since. He told www.gloucesterrugby.co.uk. "I am pretty sure I should be fit for this weekend against Northampton.
"Whether I am selected or not is another matter, but I hope to be fit. It has been pretty sore but it is getting better all the time.
"I had a really good running session last week. I will rest up and take things from there this week."
Northampton will bring former All Black star Carlos Spencer with them and Gloucester have only 200 tickets remaining in the Buildbase Stand for the clash.
Northampton have returned 347 tickets from their allocation of 500 but the remaining tickets are for the Shed and terracing.
Tickets purchased before Thursday receive a £2 discount under the early purchase scheme.
Gloucester are also selling tickets for the visit of the Ospreys in the Powergen Cup on October 1. They have been released to all supporters and there plenty left in the main grandstand.
Prices are as follows: Gold £40, Silver £32, Buildbase Adult £22, Junior £10, and Concession £18. The Shed and Terrace Adult £18.00, Junior £8.00 and Concession £14. All prices include the early booking discount which will run until Thursday 29th Sept.
Bristol away tickets will be available to purchase from Wednesday at 9.00am. Season ticket holder are allowed 2 per person. Tickets are available in the South Stand seats at £15 and Club House Terrace £15.
Bath away tickets will go on sale Thursday, September 22 at 9.00 am.
Terracing tickets are priced at £18.00, seating: £32 Hampton's Stand D, £21 Ringside and £27 Helphire Stand.
