A new Grandstand is being built at Kingsholm this summer in time for next season, which will raise the famous ground's capacity to 16,000. Meanwhile, the senior squad of 42 full-time players plus 15 support staff are based at Hartpury College, one of the best training centres in the country.
POST 1: Senior Physiotherapist/Head of Medical Services, full-time (includes weekend/bank holiday work), based at Hartpury College.
The successful candidate, dependent on experience, will either lead the Gloucester medical team (comprising 2 full-time physios, a full-time sports masseur and club doctor) or report to the Head of Medical Services. Working exclusively with the Gloucester senior squad, duties include: assessment and treatment of players; attending home and away matches as required; record-keeping of injuries; general department management. You will have extensive experience of working with elite athletes in a high-pressure sports environment.
POST 2: Physiotherapist, Full-time, based at Hartpury College.
You will work across the Gloucester senior and academy squads, with specific responsibility for academy athletes. This will be an ideal role for a junior Physiotherapist to gain valuable experience of hands-on assessment and treatment, working under the guidance of the two senior physios.
Both post-holders will be qualified Chartered Physiotherapists, and registered members of The Health Professions Council. Positions subject to CRB disclosure at Enhanced Level, references and six-month probationary period.
