Every school that takes part in the programme recieves 6 weeks of rugby coaching followed by a tag festival for year 5 or 6 students. As part of the programme schools also recieve tag belts and balls to enable the school to continue to play rugby.
The second block recently finished; with 2 festivals held at Pittville School and Churchdown School, each festvial was a great success with the participants fully enjoying the event. Paul Rudland Community Development Officer said."The EDF Energy Tag programme has allowed youngsters in the area to experience rugby coaching at a different level, it has been fun and rewarding but mainly the participants had a great time."

Andy Brown the Community Rugby Coach said."The festivals have been fantastic, they have given the participants the opportunity to not only play rugby but also enabled them to meet other local youngsters. Many of those who have taken part in the programme have since joined local clubs which is brilliant news."
