The winners being announced at the Guinness Premiership Awards dinner on Wednesday 9th May at The Nursery Pavilion, Lord's Cricket Ground.
The panel consisted of Andrew Baldock (Press Association), Mick Cleary (Daily Telegraph), Miles Harrison (SKY Sports), Stephen Jones (The Sunday Times), Barry Newcombe (Hayters), Dave Rogers (Getty Images) and Phil Winstanley, Rugby Manager at Premier Rugby.
Potential treble winners Leicester Tigers are well represented, with three players nominated in the Player of the Season category. Joining Leicester forwards Martin Castrogiovanni, Martin Corry and Shane Jennings are Saracens fly-half Glen Jackson and Bristol Rugby forward Roy Winters.
Both Jackson and Winters have been nominated for the Professional Rugby Players Association, Players' Player of the Year Award, which will be presented tomorrow night.
Should Martin Corry win, he would be the first player to win the award twice, having won in season 2004/5.
London Wasps have three players nominated in the young player category; the Land Rover Discovery Award. James Haskell, Tom Rees and Dominic Waldouck have been nominated, alongside Toby Flood of Newcastle Falcons and Gloucester Rugby's Lamb.
