Although the highlight of the day will be a touch rugby tournament that is open to both corporate companies and the general public - with players from both clubs on hand to pass on invaluable tips to teams taking part - Gloucester Rugby's community manager Gary Little is keen to emphasise there will be much more to the day.
"The touch rugby tournament is only part of the day," he said. "As a social event, I think it promises to be one of the highlights of the year, so I would ask anyone and everyone to come along to Tewkesbury RFC, have a beer, enjoy the day and take part in what is a great charity event.
"Rugby Relief is simply growing by the day. We are doing everything we possibly can to make it a great success but what we really need is support from the public.
"We are dealing with a scenario that touched virtually everyone in both counties in some way and Gloucester and Worcester are doing their utmost to raise the profile of the issues many people now face and raise money for them so they can start rebuilding their lives.
"No donation or pledge is too small, the touch rugby competition is open to anyone, regardless of experience or sex and we just want to create a memorable day the people of Gloucestershire and Worcestershire can be proud of."
As well as having both sets of squads available for photos and coaching tips, each rescue service will provide a vehicle for the day, there will be a bar, hog roast, music, bouncy castles and coaching clinics.
The social touch rugby tournament will involve teams of 10 who will play in a round robin event with finals. Club and social teams are asked to make a donation and corporate teams are encouraged to make a £1,000 donation (£100 per person). The closing date is Wednesday, August 29.
All teams are encouraged to try and raise sponsorship through individual sponsorship or employees.
