Throughout the camp players were taught core skills such as handling and decision making. On the first day the young rugby players were lucky enough to be visited by Gloucester Rugby's head coach Dean Ryan. Dean answered an array of questions and provided the participants with an insight into the professional players' lives.
On the second day Gloucester players, Jeremy Paul, Mike Prendergast and Mark Foster joined in with the coaching. Throughout the second day players were taken through further handling sessions and also contact sessions which included managing contact. The players then provided a question and answer session for the youngsters which led on to the presentation at the end of the day.
The next Premiership Rugby Academy Camps will take place in the February half term. Please book early to save disappointment, as these camps are very popular and well supported.
Gloucester Rugby's Community staff would like to take this opportunity to thank the King's School, Gloucester for providing the venue for the Christmas camp and wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
