"I don't think that Gloucester players need any incentive when it comes to playing against Bath! The league table is obviously there for everyone to see and every point is important at this stage of the season."
"We're at home and we've got a great record at Kingsholm which we want to maintain in front of a sell out crowd. It's going to be a fantastic occasion."
"But, ultimately it's a Gloucester vs Bath game, it's a huge derby and we feel that if we perform then we can get a result."
Only four points separate the two sides and Northampton Saints, London Irish and Harlequins are all jostling for position just behind but it's business as usual according to Lawson.
"The league table is really tight and the pressure is on across the board. But, as is the case every week in the Aviva Premiership, anybody can beat anybody so you've got to be on top of your game."
"It's hugely important for us to beat the teams who are around us and that's the big challenge at the weekend."
With it being Six Nations time, both teams have missed players in recent weeks but those who have come in for Gloucester have done a terrific job?
"Massively. When you look at last weekend, for example, the guys who came in to cover injuries or international call ups have slotted in and done an amazing job. That's hugely important."
"Squads have become reduced in size so it's vital that everyone is tuned in to the detail of the game and understand what their role is in order to make the team successful."
