Azam will honour the cream of Gloucester's rugby history and heritage at a black tie dinner on Saturday, February 19th (7pm) and it will form one of the centre pieces of the hooker's testimonial year celebrations.
"I have always had this idea of bringing together as many legendary Gloucester players as I can on a night of celebration, history and appreciation of what they have done for rugby and for Gloucester," Azam said.
"It would mean a great deal to me to be able to gather players through the decades and to be able to do it at the Cathedral - a piece of architecture and history that is fundamental to Gloucester is a wonderful opportunity.
"I would doubt anything like this has ever been undertaken before and to be able to use the Cathedral is a humbling honour and I am very proud to be able to do it."
Azam will aim to bring together the cream of Gloucester rugby talent and history and there will also be tickets available to Gloucester supporters for this unique opportunity to meet their heroes.
Tickets will be priced at £60 per head and will be available from www.olivierazam.co.uk
They will be offered on a first come, first served basis.
"I hope the people of Gloucester can appreciate what an opportunity this is to do something totally new and different that not honours rugby people but the city too," Azam said.
"This is something I am really looking forward to."
