Sharples confirmed spirits are high but that there is total respect for Harlequins throughout the squad.
"We're feeling fairly good in ourselves coming off the back of a good performance against Toulouse. But, equally, we're aware of what threats Quins possess.
"Those two defeats have been our heaviest away from home which is disappointing from our side and they did hurt.
"The last two games we've played at their place, they've put a hundred points on us so we know how dangerous they can be when they get it right.
"So, we're not going to underestimate them by any means and are going to have to play some of our best rugby if we're going to come away with a win this weekend."
So, there's plenty of incentive for Gloucester on a number of fronts as the 22 year old went on to explain.
"We're back at our place and we have a lot to prove not just in terms of the context of the tournament and getting the points but because we're aware of the recent history and also want to get back to winning ways at home.
"If we can take one thing away from the past few games though, it's the character shown by the team. We've really dug in deep and, although at times we haven't been clinical and finished things off, we've worked for each other and shown a lot of character."
