The outcome? A new 17 seat minibus supplied, fully funded/ maintained and boldly wrapped in Gloucester Rugby Community signage courtesy of Signs Express. As a result, this valuable community service is continued.
A new community minibus vehicle was presented to the club recently. On making the presentation, Jo Hammonds, Group Asset Manager said:
"We are delighted to support Gloucester Rugby's Community Initiatives. One of the key aims of the Mears Group is to help support and strengthen the communities in which we work and, as such, we are pleased to be a partner in the valuable and rewarding work that Gloucester Rugby do for young people."
Mears Group employ more than 12000 people across the country and maintain, repair and upgrade the homes of hundreds of thousands of people in the UK in communities from remote rural villages to large inner-city estates.
Mears Care provide care services to 20,000 people a year and they are continually expanding to meet the varying needs of a growing number of elderly and vulnerable people.

Gloucester Rugby is a club which has its roots firmly planted in the local community thanks to its Community Development Programme.
Gary Little, Community Manager said:
"The Community Team succeed in making a difference to the lives of many young people through the projects we run. Our Community programmes aim to deliver huge benefits to local people by combining our unique ability to engage through rugby and education.
"The new Community minibus is a vital component in the delivery our programmes. It will enable us to reach out and collect children from schools around the county and allow them to take part in a range of programmes that we organise at Kingsholm.
Beverley Wise, Corporate Relationship Director for Lex Autolease added:
"We were delighted to be able to help Mears Group and Gloucester Rugby by funding this minibus for this very worthwhile community project.
"Lex Autolease and Lloyds Banking Group run a number of community projects and we saw this as a project that helps transform lives through sport and, being a Tier 1 Olympic Sponsor, this was exactly the sort of initiative that fitted with our vision. We wish Gloucester Rugby's Community initiatives continued success for the future."
Thanks also to Marilyn Pickernell of Bristol Street Motors and their Managers and Directors for their support in obtaining the minibus.
