He was a member of England's 2009 and 2010 Junior World Cup squads and also spent four months following the Junior World Cup in Argentina with Counties Manukau in New Zealand as part of their wider ITM Cup squad.
A highly regarded prospect within the club, Head Coach Bryan Redpath is delighted to have secured Knight's immediate future.
"Shaun has made great progress over the past couple of seasons and has a very big future within the game."
"Tight head is an incredibly technical position to play and it does take time for players to hone their skills to be able to compete at the highest level."
"The fact that Shaun is now featuring regularly in our first team squad at the age of 21 speaks volumes for how well he is doing."
Shaun himself explained that he had no hesitation in agreeing a new deal.
"Everyone knows I'm a Gloucester lad and I love being part of the club. When I was approached about a new contract, it was an easy decision to make.
"I'm really happy with the way my game is progressing and I'm now looking forward to continuing to develop my game and featuring more at first team level."
