Getting a crash course in the sport's basics were Freddie Burns, Jonny May and Luke Narraway and, predictably, the competitive natures of all concerned were soon shining through.
Jody, originally from Churchdown and pupil at St Peter's High School is a lifelong Gloucester fan. He's already been to Kingsholm this season to cheer on the Cherry and Whites and will be backing the boys against London Wasps on Boxing Day.
Although it was the first time the Gloucester trio had tried their hand at the sport, Jody was impressed with their initial efforts.
"I like seeing other athletes learning the difficult aspects of the sport. It's tough to grasp the skills required for elite level."
"You could see Freddie being the playmaker as he has great hand-eye co-ordination and Jonny, if he were taught how to jump for volleyball, would be handy. Luke had very good skills and hand-eye work too."
After an informal match between the two sports, the rugby players took over coaching duties and showed Denise and Jody a few rugby skills including how to life in a lineout.
