He made his debut for Irish as a replacement in an EDF Energy Cup fixture against London Wasps and has since gone to become a regular in the London Irish matchday squad including featuring in all but three of the club's fixtures in the 2009-10 season.
He has made 78 appearances in total for the Exiles and Gloucester Rugby Head Coach Bryan Redpath feels he will be a valuable addition to the squad.
"Dan's a guy who has clocked up an impressive amount of experience for a guy who is still only aged 25 and we feel he's still got his best years ahead of him."
"He's a big guy who is an impressive scrummager so he'll complement the guys we already have in place and will have a big part to play for Gloucester Rugby."
