The day was an excellent opportunity for the players to test themselves against the best players and in front of the Eng U16 coaches for next season.
The best 36 players from the tournament will take part in a camp at Leeds in the summer with coaching from the RFU national academy coaches.
Coaches Phil Greenaway & Andy Brown felt the day was an excellent eye-opener to the levels the players need to reach if they are to fulfil their potential in the sport.
Phil Greenaway (Gloucester Assistant Academy Manager), explained:
"It was a fairly last minute directive from the RFU and we would have liked some more preparation time for the day, but for the players involved I thought it was a fantastic day."
"To be able to pull on a Gloucester shirt was a great experience for boys and to their credit, they were outstanding throughout the day. I can see what the RFU are trying to achieve with days like this and I'm sure the boys will benefit from the experience."
"Dates are pencilled in the diary for next year and we hope to have a few of this group pushing towards for International Honours next season. "
The team did well in all the games, drawing with Bath, London Irish & Bristol, beating Harlequins and narrowing losing out to Saracens and the South West Academy.

Andy Brown was duly proud of what the boys had achieved:
"It was fantastic to see the boys expressing themselves on the pitch and seeing the skills we have worked with them on over the previous 3 / 4 months coming through. "
"They played some fantastic rugby and credit must be given to the coaches who have worked with these players and the players themselves. "
From the camp Will Seville has been selected to go forward to the National U15's development camp in August.
The camp involves the top 36 U15's players from both the North and South festivals.
Several other Gloucester players were right on the edge of the squad, Mike Mathers, Kyle Frowen, Elliot Stooke, Shane O'Conner and Callum Drummond are all in line for call ups should players drop out between now and the camp.
