It was also a momentous day for two other reasons.
Firstly, the game was Gloucester Rugby's 50th in the Heineken Cup. Alan Fitzgerald of ERC presented a commemorative ERC Elite Award to Gloucester Rugby's Club President Alan Townsend.
Secondly, when he took the field against the Warriors, winger Tom Voyce became the latest player to make 50 appearances in the Heineken Cup and therefore qualified for an ERC Elite reward.
Tom's appearance was his fourth for Gloucester but has also made 8 for Bath Rugby and 38 for London Wasps scoring 23 tries in the process.
Tom is pictured receiving his cap from Head Coach Bryan Redpath.
