Hooker Olivier Azam has been cited for allegedly making contact with the eyes or eye area of Cardiff Blues' Jamie Roberts during the EDF Energy Cup final at Twickenham on April 18.
Azam has been summoned to appear before a Rugby Football Union Disciplinary Panel on Monday, April 27th at the Bristol Filton Holiday Inn following a report from the match citing commissioner Mike Rafter.
The panel will be chaired by Christopher Quinlan.
Gloucester Rugby acknowledge the citing and are looking into the matter.
The club will make no further comment until they have concluded their inquiries and will only make a full statement at that point.
