Director of Rugby Dai Young is a former player and coach at the Cardiff Blues while the two men vying for the fly half shirt, Stephen Jones and Nick Robinson, also hail from over the Severn Bridge.
At Gloucester's midweek media session, Davies joked that he was actually still playing when Jones first broke through into the Scarlets side as a youngster and that it was Jones who had to move inside to take the ten shirt!
Davies admitted that it will good to meet up again but that sentiment will be pushed to one side for the 80 minutes as Gloucester go for the win.
"I've worked with Steve since he came into the professional game so it'll be good to see him. I obviously know him quite well and know his strengths and weaknesses.
"But he's a quality player who will bring a lot of experience and knowledge to that team.
"And I've locked horns with Dai of course in the past in the Celtic League.
"So, it'll be interesting to see the guys but it'll be heads on Saturday for us making sure we put in the performance and get the result."
Tickets for Saturday's are still available from the Gloucester Rugby ticket office in person, by phone on 0871 871 8781 (option 2) or online at www.gloucesterrugby.co.uk
