Taylor has been an ever present in Gloucester's A League campaign to date, with the team winning all three of their fixtures to date to lead the Northern Conference after three rounds.
And the 29 year old has been around long enough to appreciate that success on a Monday evening can have a positive influence on how the first team fare at the weekend.
"Playing and winning on Monday nights definitely helps momentum for Saturdays too.
"The guys have been performing on Saturdays, they've had a great start to the year, and you've got to keep momentum, keep the team going.
"We totally understand what Nigel is doing, and with Thirls and Stan, we're running a good A side.
"In the last few years A League matches were a bit mix and match, but we've got a strong squad now, and we're going into each game really believing we can win.
"So there's no reason why we cannot have a proper crack at this competition."
Of course, whatever the competition, winning is always better than losing and winning can become a very handy habit.
And, following the win over the Tigers, Taylor praised the attitude of his team mates.
"It's been quite enjoyable on Monday nights, the team's been going well, we've put together three wins out of three now.
"Sometimes it can be tough when players come in from outside at short notice, but those that have done that have given everything, and fitted in well.
"And that was a good win over a strong Leicester team. Our defence was pretty good again, and that's got to stay as a feature of things.
"We're pushing as hard as we can to try to mirror what the first team do, to push for places. And so far that's going quite well."
