Earlier this season, for example, the game finished in a 16-16 draw. Andy Goode thought he had snatched a late win for the Warriors with a 79th minute penalty, only for Freddie Burns to reply in kind with the last kick of the game.
The Warriors did take the spoils in January 2012, however, when Goode's appearance off the bench in the second half helped to inspire a 21-15 win at Sixways.
Gloucester had won the first Aviva Premiership meeting that season, 29 points to 8, with tries from Jonny May and Tom Voyce and scraped a 23-22 win at Sixways on the last day of the 2009-10 season. Even that was close - Goode missed a last minute drop goal attempt.
And January 2010 saw Dave Attwood save the game for Gloucester, as his last gasp try secured a 13-13 draw in front of a sell out crowd at Kingsholm. Carlos Spencer could have won it with his conversion attempt, but the kick faded wide.
