The Sportsman's Lunch is designed to not only celebrate sport and sports personalities, but also bring the local business community together.
The event will provide a perfect occasion to bring clients, friends and associates to network and to enjoy what will be an enthralling account one of the most successful Olympics of all time, which will provide the theme for the first event.
The inaugural Sportsman's Lunch will take place on Tuesday 9th April 2013. The event will be launched by Gloucester Rugby's newly appointed CEO, Stephen Vaughan and guest speaker Andy Hunt who is the CEO of the British Olympic Association.
Andy was most recently the Chef de Mission for Team GB at the London 2012 Olympic Games, and led Team GB to its greatest success in over 100 years at what has been described as the best modern Olympic Games in history.
Andy will share his experiences and insights from London and some of the factors that made Team GB so successful and what lessons can be learned for business from the performance of the team and the Games.
Gloucester Rugby's newly appointed CEO Stephen Vaughan who was also Managing Director of Thomas Cook London 2012, where he led Thomas Cook's involvement with London 2012, commented on the event;
