It was an important run out for a number of Lions players looking to stake a claim ahead of the second Test - particularly Toby Faletau, Sean O'Brien and Manu Tuilagi.
It was a victory secured without any real alarms, although the Rebels, led from the front by Delve, did their best to give the Lions a game.
However, it was the tourists own shortcomings that kept their hosts in the game early on. A number of scoring chances went begging as the final pass failed to stick and the lineout was shaky.
However, once Conor Murray scampered over from close range, the Lions were off and running.
The second was one to remember. Tuilagi's strong run allowed Sean Maitland to free Faletau but the number eight slipped at the key moment. However, good composure saw the ball recycled and Simon Zebo put Maitland in at the corner.
A neat move at the front of the lineout saw Sean O'Brien add the third from close range before the Rebels illegally collapsed a driving maul and conceded a fourth.
There was just time for one more Lion - Ben Youngs - to give the selectors a timely reminder as he scored a superb solo effort from 25 metres out to wrap up a comfortable win.
