In recent years, many of the current Gloucester Rugby first team squad have gained vital exposure and experience from their time in the England age group ranks, most recently the fine involvement that Elliott Stooke and Ross Moriarty had in England's victorious Junior World Cup Championship campaign.
Named in the current England U20s squad this year are Billy Burns, Lewis Ludlow, Jonny Hill and second year at the level for Ross Moriarty.
Some notable inclusions in the Under 18s squad named by John Fletcher, are Ollie Thorley, the youngest player to have represented the Gloucester Rugby senior squad following his appearance at Franklin's Gardens in the LV= Cup and Sam Underhill who has played a key part of the Gloucester United squad in this recent Aviva Premiership A League campaign.
Joe Batley and Will Hayward, both of Hartpury College are included again following their involvement in the recent England U18s win over Australia Schoolboys. Hayward, a try-scorer, was a late inclusion but has earnt a spot in the training squad.
